Sensory support with a more upright seat

Protac SenSit® Straight combines the enveloping sensory stimulation of the SenSit® concept with a firmer base and straighter backrest. It is particularly suited to people who benefit from deep pressure but need a more stable and upright sitting position.

The seat height and firm foam-core base are designed to make sitting down and standing up easier, especially for people who have difficulty performing these movements independently.

Dynamic deep pressure

50 mm EVA balls in the backrest, wings and one side of the seat cushion provide dynamic pressure and movement that stimulate the tactile and proprioceptive senses.

This sensory input can support:

• body awareness
• a feeling of being securely surrounded
• calm and relaxation
• regulation of motor and mental restlessness
• concentration during seated activities

The enveloping wings can be arranged around the body according to the support and sensory input preferred by each user.

Two sensory experiences in one seat

The seat cushion is reversible.

• Ball side — provides dynamic sensory stimulation.
• Foam side — provides a firmer, more conventional seat when less sensory stimulation is wanted.

This makes it possible to adapt the chair to the person and to changing needs during the day.

Easier to sit down and stand up

Unlike the standard SenSit®, Straight incorporates a firm foam-core base and straight backrest. The user therefore sits higher and more upright, in a position closer to that of a conventional recliner.

This makes SenSit® Straight particularly interesting for people with reduced functional mobility who find very soft or low seating difficult to use.

From sensory regulation to everyday activities

SenSit® Straight can provide a defined and supportive place for resting, conversation, reading, eating or other seated activities.

The manufacturer particularly positions the chair for people with functional impairments and motor or mental restlessness, and has published cases involving dementia and neurological conditions.

Add the SenSit® Puff footrest

For additional leg support, SenSit® Straight can be combined with the SenSit® Puff sensory footrest.

The footrest supports the legs in a relaxed position and adds further tactile and proprioceptive sensory input. It is an optional accessory shared with the standard SenSit® chair.
